Alkali Resistant Fiberglass Mesh: Weight Guide
What This Product Is
Alkali Resistant Fiberglass Mesh is İMS TEKS's most widely used product: E-Glass yarns woven at a 4×4 mm opening and coated with an alkali-resistant resin. It's available in three weights — 75, 145 and 160 g/m² — sharing the same properties but differing in strength grade.
Which Weight for Which Application
75 g/m² suits standard interior plastering and thin coats. 145 g/m² is the most common choice for exterior insulation (EIFS) systems, suitable for most projects. 160 g/m² is used on surfaces with higher movement or cracking risk, thicker plaster systems, or commercial/industrial facades needing extra durability.
